Just went out and measured the bar. It is indeed 7/8 dia. The bars were 
manufactured by ADDCO  per Greg Solow's specs. I have the standard ADDCO 
bar and at time  of purchase assumed I could used the mounting holes I 
already had for mounting the bar. I just didn't want to drill more holes 
in my suspension and decided what I had was good enough.
