Yup, unless you want to maintain the generator instead of converting. Hmm,
you should be able to replarize the generator and turn the batter around
and get a negative ground system, shoudn't you? The ammeter would also
have to be reversed. Any idea on the other instruments?

Anyone tried repolarizing a generator like this?
