Actually they use a + ground alternator, not generator (64 and 65).  The
only things you have to do to convert a 1500 to neg. ground is put on a late
model alt, flip the battery cables and flip the coil wires.  Unhook the
radio, but all of the other gauges work fine( no battery gauge, just a
light).  I switched my 64 while the alt was getting rebuilt, and swapped it
back when I got it back.
