John,

All I can say is "Looks good to me..."

The car seems to be in very good condition. A great start for a 67.5 2000
restoration. I am looking forward to some of the pics you mentioned. You
already have the comp oil pan, complete engine and the dash and gauges look
to be in great shape. Front body panels look good too.

I haven't seen the full interior shots yet, but if you followed the 67.5
headrest thread then you know that parts for this car are very rare as the
67.5 models had many unique parts.

I have to ask if the car has the elusive license plate trim. As you may
know, this part was unique to the 67.5 2000 and very hard to find.

BTW, have you registered with www.311s.org or www.datsun.org? Both sites are
great. Also, where are you located? I am sure that other roadster nuts would
be glad to come help with your restoration. If you live in Southern
California I know I will.

See you on the road!

Thanks for all the input. I agree with Mr. 'SRAPL311@aol.com' (sorry,
don't know your name) that if someone was going to put a new battery in the
car and didn't know anything about it, they may put the positive to ground
in this case. That red wire will probably be the VERY first thing I remove
as part of my restoration project.

Also, for people asking about photos, I'm working on a website that will
document the whole restoration process. I've commandeered my personal
domain name (something from my MMPORG days.. if you don't know what it is,
you probably don't want to know) and will be turning it into my Datsun
Roadster page. Address is www.madgrizzle.com and you can see a few
pictures of it (image size on pictures is large, sorry, I will work on
it). I will be adding more pictures in the coming day now that I spent my
whole weekend clearing the garage.
