I gotta agree with Kevin here. Locally it is still a drivers race
between all these cars unless a nationally prepped car driven by a
national level winner shows up. But really, they are going to beat you
no matter what they (or you) are driving. If you are 6-8 seconds off
the top drivers in your class, then you need to do something to improve
your car prep and/or driving skills otherwise the only class you can be
competitive in is one that is very softly attended.

Also, before the Evo came out, you could argue that ESP couldn't be won
if you didn't drive an F-Body or Mustang. Note that an Evo has never
won a Solo 2 National Championship in ESP. Now at least Stacey has
posted some specs to back up his argument, but some of the other drivel
on sccaforums etc. is just ridiculous. It basically boils down to
saying that someone who owns an Evo doesn't have the right to win but
someone who owns a pony car does. If the Evo gets bumped to BSP, then
you are favoring some people at the expense of others. You just have to
realize that when there are only a finite number of classes, every car
cannot be expected to dominate.
