I've brought two of my crazy drag racing friends out to LA region autox
events.  Both had full on staged nitrous systems.  I asked them both to
removed the bottles before even showing up at the event and they both
complied without so much as a quibble.  I can't speak for the ricers, these
were V8 guys with too much power without the bottle....
