A 997 cc car, fitted with two 40DCOEs? I'd imagine that the basic problem is low intake velocity through the chokes. On a 1500cc Spitfire motor, I use 28 chokes, and occasionally think those are too

Sounds like what you need are some Earl's "Tube-Mate" fittings, which allow one to connect -6 hose to 3/8 tubing. I don't have any on stock, I do have a couple of -4 to 1/4" (or 5/16", I forgot) Tub

The problem is that Myles is using a non-ASCII character set in his posts. So, when codes for characters show up that use 8 bits, some mailers barf. mjb.
