Sounds like what you need are some Earl's "Tube-Mate" fittings, which allow
one to connect -6 hose to 3/8 tubing.  I don't have any on stock,  I do have
a couple of -4 to 1/4" (or 5/16", I forgot) Tube-Mate fittings on hand.
