- Sorry, I don't agree. Some grades of nylon will absorb moisture from the air, but since the nuts are exposed to the air on the shelf, they will have reached equilibrium long before being installed.

- If I remember my reading, the late, great Carroll Smith suggested that nylocs can be reused as long as they cannot be turned by hand. However, they are cheap enough that I prefer to not re-use them.
