Hugh, List,

Thanks so much for the manifold nut information; I did not realize that
MMC had an online catalog. I'll just order the "pack". I tried to get
their paper catalog when I was building a Harmon Rocket several years
ago, and I did not qualify for one.

Looks like a recession changes things. Thanks.

Gene,

Since MMC has their entire catalog on-line, I looked and found the
following:

92676A455
Alloy 360 Brass Hex Nut 3/8"-24 Screw Size, 9/16" Width, 21/64" Height
$ 7.84 per Pack

If this is what you're looking for, you might want to call them and see
if
they'd sell you less than one pack of nuts (in this case a pack is
qty=50).

Hope this helps,

Randall, Hugh, List,

I had to leave in the middle of the "manifold nuts to general nuts" cat
fight. What was the consensus of the best route. I'll soon be
reinstalling
my cylinder head. Is it best to go with brass nuts and plain washers,
or
what? I have no experience or background in this. I'm assuming heat and
seizing is a problem. Do you think the "high" brass nuts are available
at
McM.-Carr?
