Brian...Interesting query. My assessment would be the pads need replacing and perhaps the rotors as well if they are too deeply scored (grooved). Remember the pads on disc brakes contact the rotor at

IMO your problem is likely to be a leaking (or missing) residual pressure valve. Warped rotors would cause the problem almost immediately, while air in the lines would cause it all the time. Randall
