That wasn't stated very well. I was removing some studs that had been welded when they were installed, and then broke at a later date. No-one welded broken studs into my TR-4's rear hubs... BTW, shea

A brief follow-up: Removal of the hub was not necessary. I was able to extract the stud from the spline and reuse the original stud. THen simply attached the new spindle. As good as new! Thanks to al
