- new leave It could be the water pump, but the other things that also come to mind are: 1. Wrong temperature thermostat. ISTR that these should be 180 degree. 2. Greasy, oily engine block. I had this

- Two things - I would first of all check the sending unit - you can get one of those very cheap in the States at least. However, from your description it does appear to be working (to some extent), so

- One idea is to double-check the ignition timing, because if it is too far advanced, it may cause the engine to run hotter. This is a long shot though, for if it was very far off you'd problably hear
