I've no idea if this would apply to TR4, but my late TR3A had no holes for the TRIUMPH letters across the nose. This was verified when the car was taken to bare metal for painting, no filler or weld

In 1972 when I first got the TR3A, a teenage girl with a new driver's license ran a stop sign and I was the unfortunate person on the through street. I had just finished the 3 and it's new paint job.

The bootlid on mine, CT1272L, is original (or appears to be) and does not have the TR4 script. It does have the TRIUMPH letters. We've narrowed the change down to less than a 100. Jerry Andy, do you

There are 2 different types of letters on the TR3A (at least I think they were both intended for the TR#A), one in which the finish is smooth and one that isn't. Anyway, they have different hole patt

I believe I have evidence that this same theory IS applicable to the TR4 boot. At least assuming that the TR4A boot lid is the same. My TR4A SPC shows the lid as Stanpart 850442, while my TR250 SPC
