On the firewall -- three fuses (and two spares). Don't remember off hand if brake light circuit is fused. It's on the pedal. These do fail occasionally. You might just quickly jump the switch to see

Yeah, pain in the neck, as all wiring for engine bay/front lights goes THROUGH the fuse box -- no way round that without becoming a dreaded PO! Minor correction: the Spit box has three 35 amp fuses.
