I have a hardtop question... Does anyone know the bolt size, length and thread that goes up through the windscreen frame into the Spit 1500 hardtop? I can't seem to find one that will fit. Sam

Sam The bolt is a hex head 5\16-24UNF thread 2" lg. Should be available at most hardware stores or auto supply stores. Also the bolt is pointed to help start it in the floating nut in the hardtop. Yo

I have a similar problem. I believe there are supposed to be a coulple of "clips" (I'm sure there's a proper name for them) on the inside of the hard-top which the screws will screw into. But these

I believe the factory only made 2 types of hardtops,One for the early,round tail spitfires,the other for the MK4-1500.Hope you get it for the price you want. Bob Harris
