hard top

I have found a pretty good factory hardtop on a 1500 in a salvage yard.
Unfortunately I failed to check the year.  Does anyone know if any 1500
hard top will fit a 72 Mk IV?  It sure looks the same, but since the cars
are not together it is hard to be sure.  The owner is thinking about the
price and if it is too high I don't want it anyway, if it is low enough I
will give it a try, but if it is in the middle then I only want it if it
will fit.
