mike, you can buy the socket but the simplest method is to adjust the valves by rolling the car forward. remove the spark plugs and roll the car forward to adjust the valves. works great and no tool

why don't you mount the guage with remote hose at the pump? the regulator stops pressure down to the preset level - if your regulator is working correctly. the pump is what supplies the pressure. you

if you want to route the line the mnost effective way, run it behind the valve cover. the fuel line is kept away from the heat of the engine, not near any moving parts and is a shorter "run" of line.
