- Tried the Radio Shack bulbs years ago. While I kept the rheostat turned down a bit, they lasted, but this was in my wife's car - she kept turning the rheostat up full, and the bulbs kept burning out.

- You do not have to remove the steering wheel!! Just remove the two sides of the hard plastic cowling. This will expose the switch. If I remember correctly, it bolts to the wiper switch. /// /// mgs@
