Thanks for the diagnosis. I didn't know there was a rubber part on the harmonic balancer. How can I be sure ? I'm planning to take out the radiator and try to remove the harmonic balancer tonight. I

Thanks for all the help. I talked to Glen at lunchtime today, and 15/16" works on the bolt. The funny part is that I was working on pulling the harmonic balancer out of the engine a few minutes ago,

I got 2 thick washers and put 150 # of torque on it. I figure if it worked with out a washer for 1000 miles, it ought to work without the bent over washer. Thanks for the help, Rick
