Jim,

Thanks for all the help.  I talked to Glen at lunchtime today, and
15/16" works on the bolt.

The funny part is that I was working on pulling the harmonic balancer
out of the engine a few minutes ago, and it just slid right out without
removing the bolt.  There's nothing wrong with the rubber ring that
mounts the pulley to the harmonic balancer, and it doesn't look like
anything on the balancer has broken now that I have it out of the car. 
A piece in the inside of the balancer into which the bolt slides must
have broken off from the inside of the balancer.
