Here's another device... this one adds not only GPS, but also OBD-II. So, it can get wheel speed as well as GPS-velocity. http://www.maxqdata.com/ In fact, it can get all kinds of data off of OBD-II.

Device-wise, they are both fully capable of storing G-cube data. My disgust with the Pocket PC is the Evil One's PC-OS-crammedinto-Device-OS. In order to support their bloatware on the devices, they

I've always wondered if commercial GPS receivers are getting accurate enough that combining it with accelerometer based systems might create a better G-Cube. Seems someone else already had the idea:

My GPS, a garmin, is ideal as a portable, and works well in the car. The color one would be better in the car, but uses too much power to carry, without a power source. My maps inpoerted to a compute

As I understand the technical info on their web site, the DL90 has inputs for external engine and wheel speed sensors (optional), AND a GPS. You hook the GPS to the DL90 and you're all set. 100 sampl

That is real interesting, too bad most laptops only have on com port. Most GPS receivers output data continously, (every second) and the accuracy is probaby better than the 5 yards I WAGed. You could

NEAT PRODUCT! A long time ago, we used to think that if we upgraded the G-Cube, it would be to put in a yaw rate sensor. We can use yaw rate to verify speed, and it can also help get better maps more

I don't think the DL90 would bring much added value to the GEEZ system, GPS info is just to coarse to add much accuracy or analytical depth. It would help you get a good first guess at ending speed,

The selling point is not in the accuracy of GPS, but the integration of velocity data from GPS into the position data inferred from the accelerometer readings. The combination of the two systems crea
