Dick's reply made me wonder....I know the original red line Michelins were tube type with the wire wheel option....were they also tube type if they came on the steel wheels? Larry M

Larry--My '73 came new with Goodyear RedLines on steel wheels. So far as I know there's no good reason to have tubes in a steel wheel, unless the tires a studded. DT

The Goodyear redlines were a non-tube type radial, but the Mich. were tube type. I have ran the Mich's without tubes for over ten years and never had a problem, as long as you have a good stem seal
