- Thanks all for the info on replacing the windshield gasket! I found 3M Automotive Bedding and Glazing Compound PN 08509 to use between the gasket and body. It comes in a tube that fits in a caulk gun

- It's also the "nature of the beast" with a steel stud in alum. Every time the nut is loosened the stud comes out a bit. Successive loosening and the stud isn't held in by many threads and it'll strip
