I've found the airbags work quite well. And yes, pay close attention to the
tongue weight. I've used weight transfer hitches in the past on 24' and 18'
trailers. They work well but are a bit of a pain when hitching/unhitching.
I'm now using a 20' trailer (towed with a Tahoe) without the weight transfer
hitch and its working fine with good load balancing.
