I was there when the roll over took place, Sunday afternoon race. I was in
the same race group and was on the back straight at TH when I saw a huge
cloud of dust up ahead. Lotus Cortina off the track, side rolled at least
twice, top caved in but the car on it's wheels. The driver was out of the
car, but was wisked off to the hospital for observation. The car was trashed
and I have never seen it since, (that I know of). I'm not sure of the
particulars but it looked like the driver went off course at speed and tried
to recover resulting in the barrel roll rather that the "two foot stop method"
