Does anyone have any success controlling oil leaks from MGA back axle
oil seals (circa 1960). Seals seem fine, seal surfaces seem fine, but I
lose oil predominantly from one hub, which could be related to it being
the outside hub ( EG RHS on a counter-clock circuit)on the only track I
have raced. I have seen suggestions that it could be caused by "water
hammer" effect when big slug of oil thumps down the axle tube when a
hard LH turn is initiated, momentarily overwhelming the seal. Nice
theory. Or perhaps they just leak.
