IMO, because that can give a false impression. Screwdrives and pliers are
made of steel, which doesn't conduct as well as copper. And jumper cables
don't always make good contact with small diameter items, like posts or
cable terminals.
Plus if it is a bad starter drawing too much current, the high current
combined with the features above can actually cause further damage. BTDT.
