Hi all,
I know that this subject has surfaced before, but like most of the threads on
the list, the thread is meaningless unless the problem stares you in the face.
I'm helping a friend put his and pre 60K TR3A together. The car was taken apart
hap-hazardly and parts are strewn all over creation.
The generator is missing, but we were able to find a reverse acting starter
(with the exposed spring). When I built my post 60K TR3A, I rebuilt a
bullet-nosed starter and was wondering if this starter is legit and if so when
was the change made.
I know that there are 2 different tranny castings...one with deeper clearance
than the other.
Can you help me sort this out?
TIA
