So get a decent Lucas alternator ... they come up to 60 amps and I'll bet
Lestek would build you an 80 amp one (for a price).

Anything that takes a lot of start-up current.

Well, if it's busted and you're 20 miles of no road from anywhere ...
although these days it's probably easier to carry a little Honda generator.
Still, I've been known to watch movies in the motorhome while  dry camping
... and I hate listening to the gen set run.

Sorry, I only drive about a mile of the 405 every day in my TR3A.
