I would first try and rebuild it/stop the leak.

Hello, the list. I would like to survey the members here that are aquainted
with fuel pump leaks. If your pump was leaking, as mine is, to the
outside,(not to the oil tank) would you a)replace it, b)rebuild it, or
c)replace it with an electric unit. Mine appears to be leaking all over
more than anywhere else, I can't see any one place that the fuel is coming
from, but judging from the area around and underneath the pump, there is
quite a lot of fuel leaking out. Thanks in advance, and always, ya'll on
the list are the greatest.
