I have been thinking about installing a wind deflector on my TR6. I
generally wear a baseball cap to cut down on the turbulence with the top
down on the highway, but it would be nice to be able to drive bareheaded to
see the sky. That's sort of the point of a convertible isn't it?
I checked out an ad in Classiccars mag and it pointed to a web site
http://www.classicadditions.co.uk/ where they seem to have units for the
TR4-TR6. 159 pounds Sterling seems pretty steep, but it looks nice.
A few of questions come to mind:
1 - These units and everything else I have seen from a distance in modern
cars look like they are just a net, not a solid surface. What is required
2 - Would I be better off making up a plexiglass insert that just fits into
my roll bar behind the seats? That would have a noise reduction effect too.
3 - How close to the back of the seats do these deflectors install? If it's
between the roll bar and seats then good-bye to the fold-down feature.
Any experience out there to help out?
