I am preparing my firewall for bead blasting. I have a curiosity about
three identification plates beyond the VIN plate. The first is
originally orange in color and reads "Triumph STC 60". Mine is a '60
TR3A so this one seems self explatory.
The next one is white, apparently the original color for the engine
compartment, and reads "EB53235".
The last one has apparently been painted over before and reads
"1058395".
Does anyone know what the significance or meaning of these plates is?
Should I leave them out and weld the screw holes closed to clean up the
firewall?
Thanks,
Tom
