As far as I can tell, the "warm beer" in the UK is a myth.
I haven't had a beer in EVERY pub in England, but I made a valiant
effort
while I was there. The beer temperature seemed to range from cold to
cool,
but I was never served a warm one.
Perhaps they've installed Japanese refrigerators since the days of WW2.

While I haven't been over there since 1973, I will say that I never got
a beer that was anything but room temperature. Once when I asked for a
"Cold" beer they offered to put an ice cube in my glass!
