David,

I ordered 60" belts because I didn't want a lot of excess material flopping
around, but they are too short.  Of course the rear mountings are pretty far
back and I have the seat up a bit, but I am not that large a person and I
use up all the belt there is and have to keep it under a heavy jacket.  My
wife is also always grousing about the belt being too short and gets after
me to replace them. Of course, I don't mention the alternative.......

I mounted them through the floor with the hardware that came with them,
basically a bolt, nut, and large washer.
