Hi List,
I need to know what my alternatives are for door weather-strip options on my
TR4A. I have installed the thin metal channel for the rubber door
weather-strip on the passenger side of my car but it was a real pain to do.
I am not even sure it will work without using adhesive to help hold it in
place.
Before I start on the driver side this weekend, I would like to know more
about this "fur flex" type of seal. I take it this is glued in after paint,
is that correct? If that is the case, I think I will change over to that
type of seal. That thin metal channel is almost impossible to weld using
even the lowest setting on my MIG welder. I don't have a way to braze it on
so that is out.
I am sure that there are several list members who have attempted replacing
these seals and I would like to hear their opinions. I have no problem in
removing the channel from the passenger side door opening if someone has a
better solution!
Well, off to mow the grass for Easter!
Thanks,
Dave
