IMO...to look right..........you need both the channel (Moss has it part #
802-060 with some explaination just under the listing on page 135 of their
Spring Issue 1-0304. That holds the rubber seal quite snugly. (I couldn't
get them when I did mine, so had to make them.......my paint and body man
just tacked them into place before he painted the jambs. Then the "fur-flex"
fits to the ridge to the inside of that rubber seal.....I guess there is a
combination one for a TR6, but I've never really looked at it closely........
(Think they might pop-rivit into place?) I have a Surrey Top and the back
light frame is aluminum........so the steel channels are just pop-rivited to
it, with a rivit every 3 1/2" or so.....
It all fits well, and keeps most of the 'draught' as they say........out!
I know they are a pain.......but that's the way I'd go...........I've been
very pleased with the result. Oh, if your rivit gun tip will not fit
down into the channel......make yourself a little sleeve to fit around the
rivit shank, that will reach into the channel..........you know like a 1/4"
piece of 1/4" rod with an 1/8" hole drilled through it, e.g.....
Good Luck!..........been there........done that............<g>.......
