Take a look under the car, at the bottom of the transmission just before it
goes over the rear crossmember. If there's an OD there, you'll see the
rather large (roughly 3")brass drain plug for the OD. If instead you see
relatively empty space, with a casting that tapers upwards smoothly towards
the tail flange, there's no OD.
The speedo cable drive location is also a giveaway : non OD trannies have it
on the left, while the OD has it on the right (pointing towards that funny
looking bulge in your handbrake boot).
