I am afraid I have to agree with this statement about MAACO. You have to fifgure
that at the price they charge, they have to be using sub-standard paint.
Materials alone for a decnt paint job will cost at least $1000.
I have a crappy paint job on my TR6 thanks to PO once removed. It looks great
from 20 feet away and pretty good from 10 feet, but there are runs, thin paint
that is dull, crazing on the hood, overspray on some chrome. All said, a crappy
job. I don't know that MAACO is responsible, but it had to have been a cut-rate
paint shop. It drives me crazy, but still turns heads at most stop lights.
Take a look at the enclosed photo. Too bad it doesn't pass closer inspection.
