72 spokes are stronger, hence longer lasting, and at least the standard
wires for a 59 TR3A would be 48 spoke anyway. 72 spoke (and 60 spoke)
wheels may not fit in the spare tire well. I'd keep the 72 spokers, if
they're in good shape. After all, it's your car, it should please you !
