Randall's post sums up the reasons for using Bosch Platinum plugs better than 
could do.

I suppose I am just a sucker for good advertising and if you look in a 
Victoria British catalog they have a nice little ad for them.  I have been 
using them in my TR's for years although I occasionally switch to Champions. 
The Bosch platinum's generally run cleaner in my experience.
