Well....the Perlux ignitor in my 1975 Spit is a minimum of
ten years old.   You  all do know.... Perlux became Pertronix
when the engineers bought the division right?

:-)

I've only ever had one 'Per' unit go up on me and that was
my own fault for reversing the polarity.  I've never lost one
under running conditions, as long as thyey were properly
hooked up to the right voltage with the correct ballasting
of load (coil w w/o resisitor added etc)
