>I bought a TR4 yesterday ("TR Fever" rages) and the clutch pedel requires
VERY HEAVY pressure! Much more than my TR3. The PO says it "just" needs a
slave cylinder rebuild. He says he noticed the slave was a little "wet"
when
he peaked under the bonnet. I'm not so sure. Once I had to pump it 2 or 3
times to get the clutch to disengage completely at a stop light. Anyone
BTDT?
Have I bought a bunch of trouble along with the PO's "line"?
PS I'm in digest mode.

Earl, have you ever driven a TR6? The TR6 has a significantly heavier
clutch than does the TR3 and it is possible that someone put a TR6 clutch
in this car.

The pumping, however, suggests that you have air in the system and that
suggests that you have a leak the PO is right, you nead a slave cylinder
rebuild. But it won't affect the heavy clutch.

Enjoy the new acquisition.
