Facet makes an electronic pump that they claim is compatible with all 
gasolines (even those with ethanol that eat up interrupter style pumps). I 
have had one in my TR6 since 1995. So far so good. But I always carry a 
spare pump, as they can fail without warning (this happened to me twice 
with interrupter style pumps). NAPA carries the same pump with their label.

I mounted it in the trunk, on what looks like was the mounting tabs for the 
PI pump.

You need to keep fuel pressure in the 3 psi or under range.

BTW, I used a blanking plate from a 396 Chevy to block off the mechanical 
pump opening.
