recently, and I don't believe he's prone to exaggeration.

All these "improvements" are just exactly what you get with a stock modern
car. The main reason a 3 litre minivan will out run a TR6 is because it
already has 10:1 compression, tuned induction and exhaust, high strength
materials, etc. etc. Comparing a stock Mustang to your friend's TR250 is
only appropriate.
