I have a question about the TR6 heater...I hope I
explain myself clearly, if not, ask me questions and I
will do my best to further explain the situation.

I have a 74 and the knob states "1 defrost / 2 car"
and when I pull it out (about an inch or so) it stops.
At the point it is set, the defroster is engaged. I
can feel the heat flowing up near the windshield,
however there is cold air blowing from the other set
of holes that go to the vents near the feet and the
dash board.

My question is how far does the heater knob pull out?
Does it pull out to another notch? Mine does not come
out any farther than what I have described and I can't
get heat to flow to the feet and dash vents.

All this started when I realized that one of the
heater hoses to the defroster was cracked. The other
hoses are fine. I have the feeling that the heater
knob / lever is not working right and it's not
engaging a trap door within the heater to switch where
the heat flows. Am I on the right track? Any
suggestions?
