OK, now for my half a cent again:
Depending on what state you are in, there wouldn't be any problems but
personally I wouldn't do it. When I was working as a mechanic for some other
*agency* here in Los Angeles, we did just that, the donor vehicle had been
damaged beyond reasonable repair. There are a few requirements you had to
meet/fulfill. You might want to look into selling the shell to whoever
wanted just the numbers (hint himt).
