Les,

I'm quite sure it's a 12V motor, and you can connect it directly to a 12V
battery.  If the polarity is reversed it will just run backwards, but not
damage anything.  If it doesn't run, try removing the motor and cleaning and
lubricating it.  That worked for me after mine quit running.

I have the heater out of my TR3B, and am sanding and repainting it. How can
I
tell if the fan motor functions? Is it okay to hook it up to a 12 volt
battery, or is there some sort of relay I need? If the fan won't work, can
it
be repaired, or is there a source for the electric motor?
