Guys, Perhaps I can help the ID question here and for the future.
SU carb nomenclature runs thusly:
H = side draught
_ (no letter) = float bowl connects to carb body with a banjo-bolt
or D = float bowl attaches beneath body and is separated by a Diaphragm
attached to the jet
or S = float bowl on Side of body connected with a flexible jet tube/hose
or IF = Integral Float bowl beneath body, no diaphragm, jet adjusts with
screw, late models
and
1 or 2 or 4 or 6 or 8 = number of eighths of an inch (6x1/8 = 3/4) bore
diameter.
