I think the thread on Triumphs vs. MGs is very interesting. My
problem is that I just love British sportscars.... I started with a TR-3A
in 1963, and following a severe accident which totaled the 3, used the
ins.$$ to buy a brand new MGB. Neither car gave me a lot of problems,
and I used the B as my only car for 7 years. I now have a TR-6 and to
be truthful, I really miss the B's windvent windows when it's raining. I
always wondered why Triumph never put these on the 4,4A or 6, as they
really ventilate the car well when the top is up. But, the B never
sounded as nice (or was as fast) as the 6..
This said, I lust after most any well restored and turned out
LBC. Healey's turn my head, as do Morgans and Jags. About the only
thing that does't move me much are the Mini's...my being 6' tall probably
has something to do with it . I guess I'm just an fickle LBC fan, more
in love with the whole "schtick" of British sports cars than anything. I
suspect there are quite a few LBC owners who would agree with me. If you
told me I could only have one model of one Marque for the rest of my
life, I'd have a hell of a time picking one! Phil Bacon in south
